The Private Suites At LAX

Guests Of Malibu Beach Inn Arrive And Depart Los Angeles In Grand Style
The Private Suite

Traveling can be glorious, but getting through crowded security checkpoints or walking down endless hallways certainly isn't. The Private Suite at Los Angeles International Airport is a glamorous counterpoint to the much-maligned airport experience. Built for celebrities and other VIPs flying into and out of LAX, this standalone terminal is stylish, serene, and secluded (and completely off-limits to paparazzi, of course). Most importantly, the Private Suite has a dedicated TSA screening area, which means there’s no standing in line. In fact, you probably won’t run into any other travelers during your stay in this 40,000-square-foot oasis, which includes a dozen individual lounges that look like chic hotel suites. From the moment you arrive, a team of hosts is on hand to guide you through the space and make sure everything goes smoothly. Once you’re ready to board, a chauffeur picks you up in a BMW 7-series sedan and drives you across the tarmac directly to your plane, where someone is waiting to usher you up the aircraft’s side stairs. The next best thing would be flying in a luxurious and lavishly staffed private jet.

While the sleek en-suite bathrooms don’t have showers, there’s a lavender-scented mini-spa on the grounds that includes a washroom.
Each 250-square-foot space is furnished with comfortable armchairs, a set of daybeds, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette stocked with every imaginable goodie.

Amenities To Spare

Aside from avoiding lines and crowds, one of the biggest perks of the Private Suite is having your very own airport lounge. Each 250-square-foot space, designed for up to four people (although some of the suites can be joined for larger groups traveling together), is furnished with comfortable armchairs, a set of daybeds, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette stocked with every imaginable goodie: wall-mounted dispensers of candy and pretzels, fresh organic fruit, French cheeses, Pommery Champagne, and Napa Valley Cabernet. But the gourmet fun doesn’t stop there. Travelers can pre-order a meal prepared by a chef from Wally’s Beverly Hills—the extensive menu features everything from avocado toast to smoked duck breast—or even request a dish from any L.A. restaurant. In-N-Out burgers, anyone? Every need a traveler could have seems to have been anticipated here. Manicures and haircuts can be scheduled, essential wardrobe items are in stock, as are board games and children’s toys. While the sleek en-suite bathrooms don’t have showers, there’s a lavender-scented mini-spa on the grounds that includes a washroom. All of these “extras” are complimentary, by the way. Guests of the Malibu Beach Inn can get a taste of this royal treatment at a special price, enjoying all the benefits awarded to members who pay annual fees in addition to per-use fees. For example, a domestic travel package is $3,000, which would cost about twice as much for non-members. Bon voyage.
