Find Your Bliss At This Spa Resort In Bali

From Suspension Yoga To Jungle Boot Camp, The Wellness Offerings At Capella Ubud Go Well Beyond Your Standard Spa Treatments
Mind And Body

Hotels and resorts around the world have been latching onto the ever-growing wellness trend, but when it comes to nurturing the mind and body, Capella Ubud stands out from the pack. Tucked away in a terraced landscape of rice paddies and lush jungle in Bali’s spiritual heart, the resort boasts not one but three spa tents offering a range of pampering treatments. Designed around the phases of the moon, in line with Balinese and Hindu spiritual traditions, Auriga Wellness treatments incorporate 100% natural and organic products made locally and available exclusively at the resort. But aside from your standard massages and facials—though they have those too—the property has developed a set of adventure wellness offerings unique in Bali. The Armory is equipped with TRX strength stations, free weights, state-of-the-art machines, and the barre for barre classes.

Guests staying in one of the luxuriously appointed tents designed by acclaimed architect Bill Bensley receive a weekly schedule with sixteen different activities to choose from, including yoga, suspension yoga, meditation, pilates, jungle boot camp, rice paddy trekking, and high intensity interval training (HIIT) classes. The Cistern, the 20-meter-long rainforest pool, is perfect for doing laps, and mountain bikes are available for adventures in the jungle.

For 24 hours, everything you need will be brought to your luxuriously appointed tent.
Room service is delivered in Indian-style tiffin boxes and set up like a beautiful picnic.
Capella Ubud’s luxury tents are the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Guests who’ve participated in Confined To Quarters call the experience life-changing.
24 Hours Of Bliss

Guests looking to truly focus inward and reconnect with themselves and their partner would do well to ask the concierge about the “Confined to Quarters” experience. According to Simone Broekhaar, the property’s Director of Sales & Marketing, it’s popular among honeymooners and couples looking to rekindle their spark. Guests who’ve done it have called it “a life-changing experience.”

Here’s how it works: When you book a stay at Capella Ubud, tell the hotel’s team that you’d like to do the “Confined to Quarters” experience. Then, for 24 hours, all the wellness experiences you want and all your meals will be brought right to your tent. Your Personal Assistant will be available for your every need, allowing you to focus inward, reconnect, and recharge. Your day could start with a sunrise yoga session led by a private instructor or a dip in your tent’s private salt water pool, followed by room service delivered in Indian-style tiffin boxes. (And you can forget about lukewarm coffee and hard toast—your server will come with a backpack filled with everything you need for an indulgent buffet and if you order toast, it’ll be toasted on the spot.)

The rest of the day’s activities are yours to decide. Whether you want a romantic couple’s massage, a hard-core workout, or both, your wishes will be fulfilled. A raw detox lunch will be brought to you and in the evening, one of the property’s talented chefs will host a camp roast dinner right at your tent. The experience concludes the next morning with a spiritual purification ritual at the property’s Wos Beji River temple.
