Megève is the nearest village and the best one for the shopping. You will not be lacking inspiration… temptation is the order of the day in Megève’s 200 shops and boutiques. Annecy is onyl one hour drive for a bigger shooping by the lake.
On the village’s edge, in the Old Rectory, the Sacred Art Museum displays the treasures of the Saint-Nicolas church. Some fifty objects (wood sculptures, paintings, religious items) from the 16th to the 19th century tell the story of the village and its colportage. The Mont Blanc Tramway, known as the TMB, and enables you to access some of the most extraordinary panoramic views. In summer, it is the departure point to numerous alpine hiking itineraries. L'Aiguille du Midi, the most famous and one of the highest aiguille de Chamonix, has been an essential world attraction. From the centre of Chamonix, a 20-minute ride takes you to the gateway of High Mountain at a height of 3,842 m. The Thermal Baths of Saint Gervais are well known for their water, with medical and relaxing properties. Water comes out of the ground at 36°. A well-being course in a millenary thermal water, naturally warm and beneficial. Relaxation workshops, saunas at different temperatures, steam baths, herbal tea room and of course indoor and open ponds at the foot of the Bonnant Gorge.
